PROGRAMME OUTLINE

00.00 – 01.10

General introduction to the series.

01.11 – 03.14

We meet Liam, who wants to be an entrepreneur, gain a luxury lifestyle and retire at 30.

03.15 – 4.59

Liam meets life coach David McQueen and careers specialist Ann Duffy to discuss his passion for business and what motivates him to want to be an entrepreneur.

05.00 – 9.47

Liam is given his first challenge, which is to work with a fruit and vegetable stall holder in a market. This is very hard work with an early start, and he is given the task of getting more people to come and buy from the stall.

09.48 – 14.01

It's the second challenge and Liam visits a successful small business that designs furniture. He meets the two designers who run the business and finds that it has taken them a long time and a lot of hard work to become successful. He realises that to run a business he will have to find something that really interests him.

14.02 – 18.41

For Challenge three, Liam has to give a presentation about a business idea he has, as if he was doing a 'pitch' for investment money. The presentation is in front of a panel of successful entrepreneurs. They are impressed with his presentation style and confidence.

18.42 – 19.06

Ann and David discuss Liam's need to also find out about university.

19.07 – 22.04

Ann takes Liam to visit a university's business department and he begins to see the advantages of higher education. They discuss the pros and cons of university, especially the financial implications.

22.05 – 22.29

A summary of Liam's ideas and the challenges he has carried out.

22.30 – 23.45

It's three months later and Liam has decided to go to university, but to take a gap year first to gain experience.
