Work-related learning
This is statutory for all students at key stage 4. Students should:
- Recognise, develop and apply their skills for enterprise and employability
- Learn about the way business enterprises operate, working roles and conditions, and rights and responsibilities in the work place
- Gain experience (direct or indirect) of working practices and environments.
Enterprise education
- Enterprise capability – to create and implement new ideas and ways of doing things, to handle uncertainty and respond positively to change, to make reasonable risk/reward assessments and to act upon them in one's personal and working life.
- Business and economic understanding – to understand the business context and make informed choices between alternative uses of scarce resources.
