Aims
The programme aims to help young people think about:
- The effects of truancy on teenagers' education
- How a teenager's actions can be detrimental to their parents
- Whether truancy can ever be justified
- How they may try to encourage truanting teenagers to return to school
Learning outcomes
- Enhance teenagers' knowledge of the legal system
- Understand how a lack of education can affect a teenager
- Motivate them to debate and discuss their views of truancy and how those views may differ form those of their parents and teachers
