Alex plays for a gay football team. The importance of positive role models is stressed – people who do interesting things with their lives and are gay.

Holly is seeing Jen and things are going well.

Rory goes to boarding school and has always felt fine about being gay. Ollie is determined to be a fashion designer. He is constantly bullied, although his teacher says he is respected because he is good at art. It is felt that schools must do more to let LGB young people know that they are worthwhile.

Alex wants a career in politics. He talks about legislation. There is still a long way to go but the legal framework for equality exists.

10:54 – 12:15

Holly feels comfortable being gay in Brighton but a lot of people just want one night stands.

12:16 – 18:25

Lori was confused because she liked girls and boys, and Rory has recently started to find women attractive as well as men. Lori is happier since she came out.

18:26 – 19:14

Holly and Jen break up.

19:15 – 20:31

Ollie is ambitious. He wants to move to London to study fashion.

20:32 – 24:08

Rory has a conditional offer to study at Oxford and is delighted when he gets the 3 As he needs. Alex has ambitions to be an MP and may run in the next General Election.
