In this programme, presenter Rufus Hound explores the study of human DNA and its significance in criminology and medicine. In the studio, Dr Chris Smith demonstrates how genetic fingerprinting is done. In the lab, Giles Corin meets scientists who are studying mouse genetics in order to discover what happens when genes go wrong and create disease. A psychologist visits the studio to explain his interest in the genetics of human behaviour. He feels that you might be able to blame some of your dirty habits on your genes.
