The Cutting Club
Libby

Libby is 15. Her two obsessions are skateboarding (even if by her own admission she's terrible) and the band Evanescence.

Libby started feeling sad when she was around 11 or 12. When she moved to secondary school, the bullying started and, overcome with feelings she couldn't control, she started cutting herself. 'I didn't know what I was doing. I didn't even know what it was called.'

Libby has been in psychiatric wards to help her cope with her depression. Luckily for her she's found a therapist she gets on well with and things are starting to improve. She doesn't really know why she cuts herself, 'It's just a coping method, I know it's not the best, but it's the only one I know.'
