PROGRAMME AIMS
To raise awareness of:
- the situation for young Asians in post 7/7 Britain
- the media's role in manipulating our fears
- the importance of identity, religion and culture
- personal and social responsibilities in an inclusive Britain.
CURRICULUM RELEVANCE
England and Wales
This programme is relevant for examined courses in Citizenship, Sociology, Media Studies, General Studies and aspects of Religious Education. It is also useful for the following aspects of PSHE and Citizenship in the National Curriculum:
- PSHE / PSE KS4
Knowledge, skills and understanding 3: Developing good relationships and respecting the differences between people. Sections a, c, d. - Citizenship KS4
Knowledge, skills and understanding 1: Knowledge and understanding about becoming informed citizens. Sections a, b, g.

Northern Ireland

The programme is relevant for National Qualifications in Religious, Moral and Philosophical Studies, Media Studies and Modern Studies and Personal and Social Education (all levels).
It can also be used in recent initiatives in Citizenship and Personal and Social Education. Teachers should check current guidelines. In particular, the programme will support National Qualifications (all levels).
