These are some of the places where the students did their work experience in the local community.

STABLES
Andy Reeve, the owner of St Leonards, took all the scholars on work experience for three days and taught them to ride. He dedicated a great deal of time training up one scholar who, having never ridden before, went on to place 4th in a dressage competition and ride in the Launceston show.

The students were taught to drive tractors at Duchy College and all received a proficiency certificate.

PAM & DAWN CORYN – COW SHOWING
Dawn Coryn selected and trained up one of the scholars who went on to win first place and a cup in a cow-showing class at the Launceston show.

TRELAY DAIRY FARM
Trealy Dairy farm took all the scholars on work experience and taught them to milk the 200-strong herd.

POWDERHAM CASTLE
One of the scholars, Chantelle, spent a day working as a tour guide at Powderham Castle.
