It's the morning of the last day and Tony's wife, daughter and son have come to talk frankly with the therapists about the effects of drinking.

08.12 – 10.11

The three patients have a group discussion about strategies for coping when they are back home.

10.12 – 12.04

We see a clip from an earlier Channel 4 programme about three addicts, and review the progress of one of them – Darren. He comes to visit Vanessa and gives her lots of tips and encouragement.

12.05 – 13.59

Sandie has a final session with the psychiatrist, who is very optimistic about her future.

14.00 – 15.14

Vanessa has her final session with the psychiatrist about coping mechanisms. He is very positive about her future.

15.15 – 17.11

In the TV studio, Dr Labinjo describes Vanessa and Sandie's experiences during the five days. He stresses the need for personal support from others. Sandie's husband explains how pleased he is with Sandie's progress.

17.12 – 20.28

A recap of what they have all been through since arriving on Day 1.

20.29 – 22.19

We learn what each patient will be doing next. Sandie and Vanessa are going home, whilst Tony is going to continue his treatment in the main hospital. The presenter has a last word with each.

22.20 – 22.54

The experts reflect on what each patient has done during their stay.

22.55 – end

The end of the programme and on screen is a catch-up on what has happened to Tony, Vanessa and Sandie in the months following filming. Vanessa has not used cocaine and has enrolled at college; Sandie has reduced her medication from 20mg to 14mg per day and has not had a single panic attack since leaving the clinic; and Tony has not touched alcohol and has gained another 10kg in weight.
