16 FOR A DAY
CURRICULUM RELEVANCE
16 for a Day supports learning activities that aim to help young people identify, consider and resolve the everyday issues that face them in life. The programme can be used in a variety of curriculum contexts, but its main locus is in the lifestyle, relationships and self-development aspects of personal development programmes such as PSHE.
PROGRAMME AIMS
- To show what teenage life is like in modern Britain
- To help young people explore the challenges and pressures that teenagers face, especially those relating to:
- neighbourhood and community life
- family and friends
- love and relationships
- self-image
- the transition from childhood to adulthood
- the future.
