Slovenia

Many people haven't heard of Slovenia, much to the dismay of these presenters. Through this programme you can learn that there are lots of things that are in Slovenia that we should all have heard about: if we don't we will do by the end of the programme! There are 7,500 caves in Slovenia, with 100 new caves being discovered every year and in them are some strange-looking creatures called human fish - so-called because of their flesh-coloured skin. The presenters also tell us of the countryside traditions, such as the kurun who chase away the winter, and what life in the city is like. There's more to Slovenia than you might at first think.

Czech Republic

Did you know that the lion has appeared on the Czech flag since the middle-ages? This is just one of the many things that the Czech children presenting this programme tell us. It takes only half a day to travel from the northern to the southern borders, a little longer from the east to the west. Find out what the Czech Republic is most famous for - it's not just beer and dumplings!

Croatia

Find out about Croatia's beautiful countryside, it's wildlife and it's traditional songs and dances in this programme. Did you know that Marco Polo was born in Croatia? His statue stands proud for all to see, but there's a lot more for the Croatian people to be proud of, and some pretty unusual traditions too - can you imagine using a bowl of flour to catch fish?
