The World of Difference Bolivia programme shows the importance of the basic essentials ­ especially water ­ to sustaining and developing communities.

Aims:

• show how access to clean water and food can improve the health and wellbeing of children and whole communities, and to raise awareness that many people don’t have these basic things we often take for granted
• present agriculture as an important part of development work
• show how communities play a key role in their own development
• provoke discussion on rural to urban migration, and the preservation of traditional communities
• raise questions about who can be a global citizen and what such citizenship means
• explore how inter-connected we are with communities in different parts of the world
